Default MG Longbridge

Hi does anyone know if there’s plans to knock down MG’s offices at Longbridge? I sure hope not, weren’t they only just renovated last year?

Don't know about the MG offices but there's a petition to save Sir Herbert Austin's office at Longbridge.

Just signed the petition. I’ve looked everywhere and can’t fund a definitive answer on if MG will be or won’t be knocking down their offices. 😔

I belive MG Motor will be handing back the conference centre, canteen and old sales and marketing part of the site to St Modwen around the middle part of this year.

Not sure but i am sure I read somewhere the Roundhouse has a conservation order on it.
Not sure if it was just a section 4 or Grade 2 listed.
Grade 2 listed means the outside has to stay as is. Inside can be modified.
Both mean you can't knock them down.

I know in the grand scheme of things it’s not that important, but I havnt been to the past few P.O.L meets since I don’t live that close to Birmingham. And since I’ve got my 75, I really want to go and also get that iconic photo outside the front gates at Longbridge. Don’t want to miss that opportunity if it’s going to be demolished. Hopefully it doesn’t and MG stay active there.
