Default no clutch

hi to all
yesterday i had difficulty selecting gears took the cap off the master cylinder and there was hardly any fluid toped up and tried to bleed the clutch nothing so i toped up and pumped the pedal un till it came hard tried it and i now have a clutch later on my friend will give me a hand to bleed the clutch but i think that either the master or slave cylinder is leaking now my question is if i need to change either the master or slave cylinder is it worth buying the meatal master and slave cylinder and if i have to change the slave cylinder i will be changing the clutch what is the easiest and quickest way

I think get and original master from DMGRS if they still have them.
As for the easiest and quickest way.... get someone else to do it
Some people only lower the front sub frame while others remove it. I removed mine.
If you are going to do it yourself have a damn good read of a Haynes manual first.
when removing the bolts between engine and gear box get a A4 piece of card, draw a circle on it, punch holes in it where the bolts go and as you take each bolt out insert in card, they are different lengths. I had difficulty splitting gearbox from engine as the two sat at different angles.

Label both parts of "everything" you take apart. Group things (bolts) together in jars and label jars.

When removing the exhaust from manifold I heated the studs/nuts with a blow torch for at least 3 if not 5 minutes having applied plus gas repeatedly for the few days previous.

Dont hurry the job, read and reread the method in the Haynes manual.

The fluid went somewhere, need to investigate where.

hi to all
had a look underneath the car to see if there was fluid coming out of the gearbox and nothing so i would need a camera to look into the gearbox to see if it is wet

check around the master make sure it is dry as the master could be leaking

The amount of fluid you would be looking for will be very small. You would lose very little before the clutch would no longer work.
There would be more if the slave cylinder failed completely as all the fluid in the system would be at the bottom of the bell housing trying to escape.--

hi to all
at the moment the clutch pedal is great but i will keep an eye on it but i forgot to mention that the fluid that came out was dark brown in colour and searching on the forum one person bleeds the clutch by attaching a pipe to the front passenger side calliper then the other end of the pipe goes to the clutch bleed nipple then loosen the brake nipple then pump the brake to fill the pipe then loosen the clutch nipple and pump the brake this is the reverse bleed system has anyone tried it
