Perhaps it might be more constructive to address the subject with some valid reply or rebuttal other than a personal attack. Which part of that post was it that annoyed you, causing the lack of composure? Or was it all of it?

If what was written was offensive to you personally Simon, then I apologise. I would not want to be the target of hate mail. Getting like Twitter on here. No more from me then.
Not offensive to me in the slightest but thank you kindly for the thought.

I just think it beggars belief that yours and others wisdom on so many topics is wasted in this car club. My post giving the First Ministers address is serious, clearly the arguments raised cannot have been considered by the Scottish government. If of course they have been considered, then by you and others writing to the Scottish Government you will get a full reasoned reply. ( I was joking when I suggested you and others going to the UN & WHO)
I am not a learned man unlike many of the posters on this and similar threads but your collective wisdom is awe-inspiring. Please for the sake of the country ( and the world ) don't just post on these boards about it, go public, go large and save us all.
Please

I find members contributions on all sorts of topics interesting, whether car related, health related, economic or whatever. They are after all part of life's rich tapestry and my well be brought about by being involved in the particular subject matter. They may know what they are talking about, they may not but either way let's not fall out. This is only the internet and it's not real.

Well I am.

Absolutely. It is only the internet and not real. I wonder whether half of the posts made would have been said face to over a few pints

My point still stand though. All these ' strong' arguments for and against. If posters really believe what they are saying then surely on such a massive topic they should raise their concerns with those in positions of power.

It reminds me of the workplace.
Walking into the canteen, all these guys pontificating about what is wrong in the workplace. As their shop steward I then say, great we can sort this. Who's with me? I look round and all the blaw hards are reading the paper or playing on their phones. All talk and no action.

Reminds me of here, all these folk mumping their gums about this that and the other. A suggestion has been made as to how their well considered and pertinent arguments can be raised to the people who make decisions. Let's see how many do it or indeed how many go back to reading the paper or playing on their phones.

Personally I just find it depressing that very few from any political spectrum are willing to put their money where their mouths are so to speak.
Right rant over and back to the picket line lol

Do not forget that we will no longer give you money under the Barnett formula and you have to pay a substantial annual levy to the EU.
You might be at the EU table with what is likely to be 30 other members so the 30:1 ratio is not much difference to what the SDP have at Westminster so I am not sure how much bigger the crumbs will be.
You’ll find that the massive natural, cultural and people resources belong to Scotland in an independent future, the Barnet formula has never worked for anyone but England. I assure you, The English Westminster Government will be biting off our hands to negotiate deals as without being able to bleed Scotland dry, England will be on a shoogly peg. This We and Us carry on only fuels our desire to be independent, Scotland doesn’t need anyone’s permission to break this Voluntary Union and you should remember that. Also remember when assuming Scotland has massive debts, it’s a fact that the Scottish Government can’t run a debt, only Westminster can do that, so if Scotland is in a poor state it’s as part of this perfect UK Union you’re so glossy eyed about. The Union is dead and good riddance when it comes. Our individual countries can all do far better without being bled dry by London.

Perhaps you could explain how giving you £2000+/person each year under the Barnett formula only works for England's advantage. You could always turn the money down.

Do not forget that it was Scotland that instituted this union with King James VI of Scotland wanting the Union.
