I have just replace one of my sensors which was diagnosed correctly by TOAF. The symptom I had was that occasionally the sounder would go on continuously, when reverse was selected. Then after a few weeks it got worse and would be on continuously a few seconds after selecting reverse. TOAF was showing the sensor as detecting an object at around 300mm, with no object behind the car, this is the normal distance that the the sounder will be continuous. The sensor looked perfect and I cleaned it to perfection (including the groove around the sensor and all connections), but on refitting it was still faulty. Changing the sensor restored faultless operation of the PDC :-)
