Default Anyone in Kent near Ashford

Anyone know of a reasonably priced campsite with a 30 min drive, of the Big Cat sanctuary, looking for somewhere to pitch a tent for 2 nights

Sorry, can't help you with a camp site but do you mean the wild animal park at Port Lympne ? I visit that one and it's twin Howletts every year.Fantastic collection of big cats, tigers inparticular.

Email or phone Ashford or Canterbury tourist imformation, they should be able to let you know where the camp sites are in that area

105 to choose from here. The one in Chatham is literally just off the M2 overlooking the Medway Valley & near Buckmore Park (Go-Kart track).

Ive phoned the ones on the I know Kent site, its school holidays, and campsites are hard to come by at the mo,
the cat place is at Smarden, its the wildlife heritage foundation, cost £260 for Tim to get eaten, oops sorry meant for Tim to be a ranger for the day
we need somewhere relatively close to the foundation, within 20 miles,as we have to be on site by 8.30its all country roads there, and a 12 mile distance takes over 35 mins
Anyone got a big back garden we can pitch in ???????????????

True, this is why such wildlife parks in France have a second fence one meter away from the one on the animal's side

As do the ones that are open to the general public in the Uk.

The pic is taken at the "private" sanctuuary mentioned by the OP.

Incidently Howletts and Port Lympne in Kent have lost 3 keepers to Tigers in the last 30 years, the last being in 1996 after which Canterbury city council stopped the Parks allowing staff to bond with the big cats.
