Temperature Sensor.
Bare with me on this, I have now got a FBH fitted to my tourer courtesy of GRS6680 many thanks. I am aware I can test it by pins three and six, but when the temperature gets below 5 degrees how does it know when to turn on. By the way I still need a remote can you do Devilish. Cheers. Rev. |

From memory, so if someone's memory is more accurate?
There is a signal from the ECU, which indicates the engine is running. That passes through a thermal switch in the front bumper area which closes at <5C, that signal then passes to the FBH. Net result is - FBH only comes on when engine is running and temperature is less than 5C. It comes on automatically in those circumstances.

Harry, many thanks for the answer, that is all I wanted. So the heater will not come on automatically without the engine running. Cheers. Rev |
