There are many to choose from, I have one from Liddle or Alde ? but don't use it on the cars or anything else for draining engine oil.

I only use it for re-filling such as gearboxes, transmission units, diffs etc.on cars and similar things on some machinery I maintain, especially where the filling / top up points are almost impossible to use by conventional means, it makes a gearbox re-fill on my 75 a doddle.

Why don't I use it for engine oil ? as an experiment when I first got it I used it on one piece of machinery and on an identical machine did a conventional drain, both purchased at the same time, both with the same running hours on them, both hot as normal, both had the same quantity of oil in the sumps.

The pump didn't remove all the oil and potential sludge and deposits as a conventional drain did, something I wouldn't be happy with on any engine.

I suppose that used for say every other oil change would be reasonable, but not for every change.

They are a bit like Marmite some love them, some don't.

Like yourself I'm a bit old, 76, with all the usual ball joint, bearings and bushes wear, but still get under the car, eventually, however occasionally I ponder if I should call the Fire Brigade to get me back out.

Pela 6000. Love it. Had it many years. Used it on 75 CDT, Corsa, fiesta and BMW 520d. Wouldn't be without it
