Question can they still be got either second hand or new. Tourer.

As far as I know they were never available as a separate part.

Rimmers do them as a complete side of the car though -only 150 quid a go.

You'd have fun welding that in.

Or you could just cut out the section you need.

Might be cheaper finding a rust free car in a breakers and cutting out the section you want.

Good luck cutting out one from a scrap car I've done it and it certainly not for the faint hearted

Chances are even if it's clean on the outside it'll have started to corrode on the inside

I think Stocktake posted up some pictures of the one I did

At the Rimmers' price, I would buy the complete side and cut the sill out for use. Then use the rest of the side sheet for other repairs.

Took my tourer to garage to have front wheel bearing changed today. Whilst up on ramp they showed me a massive rust hole at the front of the sill - looks about 14" long as it's clearly rotted along the seam where it joins the floor pan Annoyingly the same sill was welded at the back about 2yrs ago, though the passenger side hasn't holed yet. Sigh, another thing to pay out for (still needs handbrake and ITP sorting)...
