Default Download speeds.

Some months ago i had poor download speed on laptop, got in touch with B.T. After a thorough investigation by engineers fault was found with indoors cable. They done a good job of replacing cable at no cost to me. My download speed was 60/70 and i told B.T how grateful i was.
BUT been checking speed a few times last few days, not once was it over 6.5 at the moment it's 3.66. Can anyone explain why this should be,is it because i need a new laptop or is it a B.T. fault.

I cant see it being your laptop, Are you using it hardwired or Wi-Fi? Our Virgin media broadband Wi-Fi ended up rubbish speeds but plugged in using the ethernet cable was fine.I'm using an old HP workstation that's from 2009 and speeds are good.

I am using Wi-Fi. Cabling would be an inconvenience, also i have the g/children complaining about reception on their phones. Will give B.T. a call.
I have been in touch with Virgin Media, they don't cover our area. That's one problem of living in the upper region of the S.Wales valleys. We call it the land that time forgot.
