It's not speed the airbag deploys, it's the sudden stop

Thread moved to a more appropriate forum. Re-direct left in old. This may be the better forum as threads get ‘lost’ very quickly in the General Forum.

'negative acceleration' is grammatically an oxymoron (so not correct to say).... confusion might arise because acceleration could be described mathematically as 1 ft/s/s (one foot per second per second) and deceleration as -1 foot/s/s (minus one foot per second per second) - looks like 'negative acceleration' does it not? n.b - I know the foot isn't the official ISO unit of distance - but I thought that the majority here would understand imperial measurements better than metric... With the age of our car`s it would be interesting to see how many of our airbags failed to deploy...
....Anyone fancy a MG/75 stock car event ? Ken. |
