I dread to think what you'll find under that rust if you took a grinding wheel to it.

I've seen this car and I'm good friends with the guy that currently has it. Interior is absolutely spot on.
The outside as stated needs a bit of work. One sill has been welded and painted black by the previous owner, and the previous owner also tried to do some work above the door (where Rover had joined the body) but it ain't too good. Offside rear door needs a little work too. Other than that is all working, the alloys came from my ZT which are refurbished with nearly new tyres, air con and fan works, and it's a really rare car worth buying, even if it does need work. It's probably a 5k car easily, and realistically needs £500 spent on it (if you shop around). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It sounds like it's probably worth a punt to someone who is going in with their eyes open regarding what may need attending to.
A personal viewing is no doubt the way to go.

It's still quite a nice car and a good buy for someone I think. All our cars need some spending on it as they're getting older. £500-600 to put that right is nothing.
