Default IO Play 2 connection to 2003 Highline Help needed.

Hi,

I have purchased a IO Play 2 http://www.my-io.com/products/io-play2-overview/that according to the their website is compatible with my ZT 2003 Highline system.

However on removing the Highline head unit a cannot find the ISO connector to connect the unit into. The connectors on the back of the unit are too small, and the only connectors that look as if they are the one i need a buried deep down on the left hand side.

Am i looking in the right place..??
Do i need another cable..??

Any advice appreciated

Connectors from the Highline

Possible ISO Connectors..??

Hi
The loom for the hi line system is a separate loom to the rest of the wiring in the car.

On the face lift models it is connected to the main car loom by two ISO connectors, one grey and one brown. I understand that the earlier cars had a single BMW type connector instead.

It is this connection that you are looking for and it should be behind the central console somewhere between the heater controls and the ashtray. It is not the blue and white connectors from the back of the monitor.

If you have the earlier type then you will need two adapters to go from BMW to ISO and then back again.

I would have thought it worth speaking to the suppliers to see if the have the BMW connectors?

Thanks, i eventually found the connector buried deep at the bottom of the console, as you said behine the ashtray fitting.

I have ordered off of ebay a converter SOT60 BMW to ISO and ISO back to BMW so that my Ioplay can fit in the middle.
