Default Climate control problem

I'm about to buy a Mg V8(nr217) but the climate control only goes on high speed?? I'm talking about the fan inside the car, not the radiatorfan.
Has anybody had this problem?
I've heard the there should be a orange fuel clip, how can I check i? Is it easy access?
Anything else I should worry about and take an extra look at?
I live in Sweden and the car is 700km from me so I have to check the car and take it right away so a few tips on what to look for would be grateful.

I am not sure if the ATC panel operates in the same way on the 260 but I suspect it does

The ATC panel operates a Power transistor which contols the motor there aren't any resistor packs etc

Worth checking if the problem happens with the ATC in both auto and manual mode should be a simple fix though the transistor packs and ATC panels are plentiful in breakers.

There was a report of pins not seated properly in the ATC connectors so might even be as simple as that.

As for the fuel clip no way to check witohut removing the filter so don't try and check it without having one as they are so cheap you might as well be prepared,

If you buy th car join the two-sixties- plenty help over there for the V8

Yes it is! The guy selling the car say's it is the car MG used at the Paris autoshow.
I allready have the form to fill out but I'm waiting for my car which I hopefully will buy on thursday if it looks and runs as the he say's. I think I'll take my chances that I can fix the climate controle if that is the only issue on the car. Hopefully two-sixties can help me.
The pictures he send me made me fall in love instantly.

Thanks!

Peter
