To be clear both of them do not smoke under hard acceleration until about 4500 revs when there is a light short duration puff. Certainly not red arrows smoke on style of smoke.
And ive seen enty of more modern diesrls give a similar puff on hard acceleration. The MOT comment was made to reassure people a mafless map is quite capable of passing an MOT. My PCV fiter, o rings , egr valve and manifold etc are all in good condition. And there was no italian tune ups on either car. Sent from my SM-G977B using Tapatalk |

I've often wondered if a car didn't require a MAF, why Rover didn't delete them as part of Project Drive??
My Rover 75 is of course petrol so doesn't have one fitted, however if I owned a diesel it probably would want it to remain standard. |
