Colin don't try and justify why you intend to break MFL this car was deemed for the scrap yard when I purchased her, so you did her justice by keeping her going.

After moving into my current 'eurobox' I can appreciate your decision after all the cost of putting the items right do not justify the value of the car, regardless what any other member may say. You know your income and expenditure and what you can afford, good luck and hope you recuperate a little from her.

I'm just sad when any get scrapped! Too sentimental! I get too attached.

Seems she's been saved from the breakers a few times now then. I saved her from the breakers at the eleventh hour three odd years back, but that's three years more service she had and will go on to keep others on the road.

Default More info needed

I was disappointed to read of the news about MFL especially considering that the belts were done by Nigel so recently.
The mileage has to be under 5000 and three years.
Granted the car needed work when I passed it on for little money but the belts and rear upper arms came as a shock as they were clean before I used Bilt-hamber Dynax and rustproofer, perhaps these state of the art preparations are not so good as we think.

Today though I see she has been taxed for yet another year (DVLA Website) so what is going on?? Has she been fixed and put on the road, I for one would like to know and I'd also like to see the shredded belt and any pictures!!!!
Id add a screenshot of the DVLA check but as I don't subscribe any longer I can't.

She was on Facebook two days ago being broken for spares. So no, I don't think she has been saved, but I would love it if someone could come along and tell me differently. If I had the money, I would have saved her, but now that I have my own white already getting an engine replacement, it was impossible.

Yeah, from what I’ve seen on Facebook, I’m afraid it does look like it’s being or been broken...
