So mine isn't broken and just needs some contact cleaning and tightening up or re-soldering connections (90% sure it will fix it. fingers crossed)
If and when you look at the construction of these, you will realise it won't be a dry solder joint, nor a poor connection, it will be all fluffy and corroded and knackered

Oh hi, this is a very over due reply to this thread, but I finally got time and place to change this sensor. Bought a second hand one for just 14€ (from Lithuania [am I allowed to advertise them here since I have gotten so many secondhand working parts from them very cheaply?] and got it shipped to Estonia in just 2 days) and it works like a charm!

I even pulled the old one apart and it was not nearly as horrible as previous post stated Just one or two blown transistors due to water damage. But still, enough damage was done to render that part useless.

Huge thanks to everyone who replied and helped me out!

Thanks for the end to the saga - better late than never

If the sensor supplier has given you good service and prices are reasonable then sure let others know (I think that 14 Euro is a very good price).

What's next the cooling fan, have you tested all speeds with Toaf ?

Regards

Cooliing fan saga is also over . Had to replace it because magnets inside were soooo busted. Previous owner must have tried to fix it since brushes were brand new. But they must have slammed rotor and stator together so magnets shattered.
I replaced it but not with original. Replaced it with some other fan which had same dimensions (like 50-100W more powerful) and converted it to 2 speed instead of 3 speed as my original fan would have been. Got AC filled and no leaks/problems whatsoever. Really happy with the job I have done Engine temp is also lower now according to IPK diagnostics mode
