Sat one time at next table to Doddy on M62 service cafe 2:0am in the morning. Had a real pretty young lady with him.

I thought he died years ago but I made a mistake readin the Ceefax headlines which read...

'Dodi dead.'

My favourite memory of his was on a Parkinson show and they were getting all serious analysing how comedy works.

KD: 'It's true that you can tell a joke up in the North-West and it'll go down a storm, have 'em rolling in the aisles. But down in the South it won't even get a titter.'
MP: 'Why do you think that is?'
KD: 'They're too far away, they can't hear it.'

RIP a true King of Comedy.

My folks saw one of his legendary shows in Edinburgh years ago. It went on so long there was an interval to allow people to move their cars from a local car park which shut at midnight.

Wonderful comedian. Ken, you brought laughter to countless millions, a true legend. Terribly missed . R.I.P.
