House safe
Well a long shot but does anyone have any info on house safes, my mother is in need of one and I don't know where to start.
At the moment I was looking at one in Costco but it appears to get a bad write up in the USA it's a 35l 1hour Fire safe. So any help appreciated ? Thanks

My honest advise is to go to your local lock-smiths and get a decent one for about 60-70 quid.
You can break into the cheapo ones with a pair of scissors.... trust me on this lol Last edited by Madderz; 8th March 2016 at 18:42.. |

Arguably the best available for domestic use. I use one of these, http://www.securikey.co.uk/products/...dl-electronic/ Remember your insurers will not consider the contents covered by your insurance if you have a keyed model and then keep the key at home. As for fire resistance, you are very unlikely to need this, but properly fire resistant safes run into ££££'s for very small ones. |

We use a gun safe, which was already installed in the house as it used to be a police station.
