My best was 18.4629 and 73.69 mph on the one run out of three when I did remember to turn the AC off. That was about half a second and 0.35 mph better than my second best run. Nearly all that half second was gained in the first 60ft though, so it's probably not due to the AC at all. More likely down to a few more rpm before releasing the brakes, as it was also the run on which my reaction time was 10x that of my quickest!

Just wanted to say thank you to Robert for posting my results (only just seen the envelope, other half neglected to tell me I had post!)

Thanks for the postcard too, if only we did have 5 miles!

Now on my man shed wall

My best was;

16.3098 seconds @ 86.69 mph but.......... my reaction time was 0.9905 seconds

I'm confident of getting a sub 16 second time with a good start. My final run should have been sub 16 secs but I changed from 3rd to 4th to early as I was laughing so much........ The woman in the golf on the other lane was going crazy. She was not expecting to be out done.

It's a 1.8t ZT. ZnF 200bhp map exhaust and air filter.

Sorry I didn't come along to this, I've been pre-occupied by all things MG6 and MG3 and the MG365 register recently, also not helped by the fact that the 190 needs new bearings in the gearbox which certainly put play to the idea of taking it down the strip.

Glad to see tose that went had fun!

That's pretty interesting! all but matches a 190!

I'm tempted to put the MG6 against a standard MG ZT 1.8T

A pleasure Simon. Thought those times were quite impressive for a 120!

Seriously quick for such a heavy car with a 1.8L.
The trick to getting a good reaction time is to react to the vertical yellows, not to wait for the green. The green always follows well within 0.5, so there's almost no chance of committing a foul.
My first attempt was against a Sierra Cossie Wannabe and I knew it'd be no contest, so my only chance of salvaging any self respect was to beat him off the line. I managed 0.135, which was about 1/3 of his reaction time. I thought that was pretty good, until I watched some drag racing on TV the other night and starts of about 1/10 my time were quite common. The quickest I saw was 0.004

Didn't know whether to wear the beach gear, or the cowboy hat, Rich. In the end I didn't take either.

Going back here on the 22nd of February 2015 if anyone wants to join me.

Taking my ZT and sons Focus ST 3

I'm not organising a meet as such, more just saying we are there if you fancy it.

Simon
