Default Unloved early 75.

I am really surprised at the lack of interested in T207 JOP and wonder whether I actually did the right thing in saving it from being scrapped. According to information on here there are only 6 older 75's left and this is the only 2.5 manual Connoisseur.
Maybe it is because i have found it so difficult putting pictures on here as I am not great with computers.
Maybe the engine is too big or maybe the relatively low values mean these cars simply are not worth putting back on the road.
Unfortunately as much as I love these beautiful cars next time I see one in the scrap yard I will likely leave it there .
Go on someone save this lovely car !

High costs of fuel, insurance and road tax kill the old larger vehicles. Add to that the low sales value and bobs yer wotnot!

Yes you are so right, and i think these costs are going to continue to rise.
Being a 'petrol head' I find this such a shame.

As someone who, at about the same time, saved another T Reg 75, albeit a diesel, it disgusts me to think that so many members say they should be saved but so few actually put their money where their mouths are. None so far in the case of Norman's.

The one I saved, T421 SEF, was a runner but needed big $'s spending to bring it up to scratch. A week in MGR John's workshop and now she wants for nothing. Full service, MOT with no advisories, long list of jobs done, the lot. I put my money where my mouth was, and make no apologies for blowing my own trumpet.

My message is simple. Someone save this car. I've done my bit - the ball is in your court now.

That's enough blithering from me. Unless it finds a good home within a week I will be waving bye bye to this club.

not a t but ive been slowly saving a V reg.

I paid £320 for a wedgewood blue with neptune interior 2.0 v6 auto connie.

I have put new shocks front and rear, top mounts on the front and rear, had the belts done, new lower front arms, changed the wheels to crowns, changed a few body panels for ones with better paint (had to travel from yorkshire to suffolk to get the panels) original set of slim line roof bars, headlights polished.

Im sure theres other stuff i have missed.

Thank you all, the details of this car are in the members cars for sale section. I have tried and failed to post pictures but have some in my phone that i can whatsapp to anyone who pm's their number. The car has been garaged stored for 10 years or so and is now outside and i am reluctant to leave it stored in my yard as the climate here can be very wet . I paid £350 for it and it cost me £120 to get it home. I am not looking to make anything on that, and am including some bits and pieces I have since bought for it. The car is 15 miles from Plymouth, post code area PL17.
