A friend of mine (club member) has to fit all weather tyres in order to visit his grandchildren in Slovakia - legal requirement. He has never met weather that requires such tyres. These tyres are a softer compound than 'normal' tyres and he has to change them about once every 18 months. Does about 8k per year.

I used to run my old 75 on Avon WT7 tyres, managed to get a good couple of winters out of them.

10/28 OHXE with the 302 cc engine. Beast!

BTW, Gavle is on my Scandinavia Bucket List motorcycle trip. Fair warning!

This will be my first venture onto winter tyres in 40 years of driving.

I want to go to Norway or Sweden in the winter and try a car with studs in the tyres.

The Toro is a beast, my neighbour has a Chinese thing with snow chains which can hardly manage to throw snow over the snow plowed walls. My Toro has no chains and a throwing distance of 13 metres, funny how most of my neighbours end up with more snow than us

Most welcome to call in if you’re ever passing. My Bantam D1 can’t match your Triumph but there’s a guy in our village who has original Speed Twin and a horde of classic Nortons.

Might be able to oblige you there if you're in the area. My daughter & I use unstudded friction tyres (alpine), but my son-in-law prefers studded, 110 studs on each tyre. January, February tend to be cold and lots of snow.

I'm going to invest in a set of Nokian Hakkapeliitta r3's for my 190 when I do my Arctic circle jolly but it might be overkill for the UK.
