Rover to the rescue!!
Set off on holiday with my caravan yesterday being towed by my Ford Kuga, just nicely got onto the M62 and the car decided to go into limp mode 😡. Managed to get off the motorway at a embarrassingly slow pace and parked in a layby. I switched the car off for a while but it went straight back into limp mode
As we were still reasonably close to home i took the chance and took the caravan back to storage and dropped the car off at the garage to be assessed and, fingers crossed, repaired. I think it is fuel related but who knows with modern cars. So what to do? I recently fitted a towbar to the 75 but hadn't towed with it or fit the spring assistors i remember they need. Off to work i go and finish off the fitting and then back home to try change our holiday booking from Sutton on sea to somewhere a little closer. Today, in rather wet conditions, we arrived in Coniston in the lake District. The good old Rover took the trip in it's stride, though it wasn't overly happy with a couple of the hills, and we arrived safely. Let's hope the rest of the week isn't quite as stressful 🤞.
