On my tablet which Ive now had in the car for 18 months uses my mobile phones hotspot for the data connection. You could plug in a 3g dongle as it would only need power.

I have spotify setup so it has all my albums available off line. You can if you want use the in built media app and have a flash drive plugged in via a usb extension cable to the centre arm rest for easy access for playing music and videos

The phone connects via BT to the tablet for telephone calls and receiving text messages.

The tanblet uses its onboard GPS for the sat nav. It took me to Poole and back to Wolverhampton without any issue.

Picture of the loom provided for plug and play installation. This connects to the amp that comes with the kit for installing with the tablet with the car stereo removed.

Is that DAB+ like my Pioneer has or through the internet?

A few qestions, apologies if asked/answered before.

Is the power supply from a switched source ( if ignition is off will it drain the battery)?
Can the tablet be powered down completely or is it on standby all the time?
Also do you have pictures of the kit as it would delivered, DAB set up etc?

Still thinking

The ROM that is installed and designed for in car use puts the tablet into a deep sleep. I only use my car at the weekend so fully charged it uses around 15-20% of the tablet battery over the weep in standby.

I will pm you some pics sure
