Default wing mirror controls

Hi all,

Just want some advice, on my 75 the mirror control only works up and down and not left and right, so I took another whole control unit off another 75 but having the same issue, so not sure what the problem is, just wondered if there are their separate fuses for up/down & L/R.

Colin.

This worked for me, following advice from this forum, and it is to open up the switch and with a pencil eraser, gently clean all the contacts, good luck.

Default Wing mirror switch

Stripped the switch down and cleaned all the contacts with a cotton bud dipped in warm water works a treat.

I can recommend the fibreglass circuit cleaning pens

Perfectly sized for the contacts.

I agree - the fibreglass cleaning pen worked 100% effectively for me although I degreased and cleaned with isopropyl alcohol too. Immediate fix in my case.

A cotton bud would be better than toothbrush.
