Default Hard wire Dash Cam.?

Where could I hard wire connect a Dash Cam.

Do you mean a fused power supply ???----What other cables do you think you need ??

Wired cigarette lighter into fuse box behind glove pocket then camera lead plugs straight in run cable up trim side w/screen place camera behind mirror nice and neat

Some cigar lighters are permanent live so do not switch off with the ignition, so best to hard wire to the fuse box, you can also piggy of the fuse for the heated mirrors as that is ignition.

I went from the interior light and mounted next to the rear view mirror but it's not permanent - it's only on with ignition on

You can buy a hardwire kit from eBay that will just plug into a vacant slot in your fuse box Jules.

As said above, there are hardwire kits available and they should have an auto cut out when the battery drops below a Set voltage (usually 11V iirc) so that, if left for an extended period, you can still start the car.
I got mine from Amazon and often kits come with each type of fuse and piggyback adaptor as a universal kit. I can’t remember which fuse I used but I went along with a multimeter when the ignition was off testing each fuse till I found one with 12V across it.

I wired mine into the switched feed to the radio. Works a treat.
