Default Vacuum(?) fitting on autobox

Hi, I've an 02 Rover 75 diesel with automatic transmission and wondered if anyone could identify this fitting on the gearbox. It looks like a vacuum pipe should be attached but I can see nothing in that area that is disconnected.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Gary

Perfectly normal - all autoboxes have the same (unconnected) pipe.

Regards
