Hi Tim
£180 inc (3-4 hour job) but well worth it as many owners will testify after renewing the Stat! Not one of my favourite jobs but we like a challenge

Oooohh tempting Jules, one thing I need to check before making any decisions is a new expansion tank cap as I am getting coolant around the lip of the expansion tank (every now and then) and I am only at the min mark so I think the cap maybe preventing full pressure??? This happened after I changed my coolant and took it to the full mark but it has happened since it has been on minimum.
Thanks Tim |

We put silicone grease on all 3 O rings of these Caps.
It helps seal & makes it easier to screw it on firmly. If in doubt renew the Cap

I'll have one of the thermostats please. I have poor consumption and I noticed my FBH was on after an hours run back in the cold snap, althogh my temp gauge reads OK.

Can you add me to the list as my temp gauge does not go above 76c.
PS. Is your landline number correct? Cheers Nick |
