Default Thermostat & Housing Diesel CDT/i For sale

Temp out of stock sorry

Suffering poor MPG & Heater not very hot?
Genuine Boxed Part No PEL100570
We have a small qty of these OEM Stats at a competitive price !
Restore your engine to 88 Deg C and increase the MPG.
Also the heater will get hotter quicker!
Check the exact temp on your dash "OBD Dash Diagnostics"

*** Remember even if your Temp Gauge is reading 9 O'Clock (ie in the middle), doesn't mean the engine is up to running temp.
Our tests proved the Gauge still reads "normal" from a temp range of 73 deg C all the way up to 113 deg C !!
A feature designed to assure the driver everything is fine when in fact it's..... not quite.

£49 Plus £3 Postage = £39 .............Or £179 FITTED inc
Comes complete as shown with housing, body - pump seal & also includes the very important additional top O ring from the outlet pipe to the heater circuit

My HOW TO change it is written up here:

Hi Tim

£180 inc (3-4 hour job) but well worth it as many owners will testify after renewing the Stat!
Not one of my favourite jobs but we like a challenge

Oooohh tempting Jules, one thing I need to check before making any decisions is a new expansion tank cap as I am getting coolant around the lip of the expansion tank (every now and then) and I am only at the min mark so I think the cap maybe preventing full pressure??? This happened after I changed my coolant and took it to the full mark but it has happened since it has been on minimum.

Thanks

Tim

We put silicone grease on all 3 O rings of these Caps.
It helps seal & makes it easier to screw it on firmly.

If in doubt renew the Cap

I'll have one of the thermostats please. I have poor consumption and I noticed my FBH was on after an hours run back in the cold snap, althogh my temp gauge reads OK.

What's your paypal address?

Hi Jules.
Re phone call, I cannot seem to locate the OBD dash diagnostics proceedure. Can I take you up on your offer to send it to me.

Can you add me to the list as my temp gauge does not go above 76c.

PS. Is your landline number correct?

Cheers

Nick
