IPOD interface for Highline £78 incl Del
This is a DICE Silverline which simply plugs into the cd changer socket. It charges and has full control , select by artist, Album, Playlist and has full text display. I believe it works with pretty much all IPODS and IPhones, even my very old 3rd generation IPOD works. It also has AUX in which is switchable via the head unit.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6FbAxK8AWo http://www.diceelectronics.com/vehicle-ipod-info http://www.ipodcarkitdirect.co.uk/BM...e_iPod_Car_Kit It originally came with two plugs (3 and 6 pin) for a BMW cd changer, I have changed this to a single 10 pin plug which fits our cars and has been working perfectly in my car for about a year. It has enough cable to run from the boot if that is where your Auto changer plug is. The one thing worth noting is that whilst it is 100% functional with all highline systems it was designed for the 16:9 setup in the BMW. As such with a 4:3 setup (which mine is) under 'normal' viewing there is not enough room for all the text, see second photo below. However when on SAT NAV or computer display the DICE overwrites the display and all is correct, see third photo, the following video explains this 'overwrite' a bit more. Also this may not be the case for all 4:3 setups as mine is a split screen MK3 nav unit so through the standard rover sat nav unit the display may differ. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDfEj...eature=related Last edited by t_i_m; 24th August 2010 at 19:43.. |
