Default Front Coil Spring

Need advice on which front springs to purchase, as just noticed when jacking up the car to take wheels off to clean them that I have got a broken front Spring (drivers Side), but If I am replacing them, then might as well replace both sides, so has anybody got a recommended spring (and Supplier)

I believe that the springs I need are Brown/Brown (REB000430), but need a reliable supplier, and if possible want original or uprated version

Many thanks

Stu

I bought these a few months back;
https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-REB000430PR

A little pricey but every thing I've had in the past from Rimmer's has been quality and lasted, so peace of mind. Ordered them in the afternoon and were with me the following morning

I fitted Sachs springs to the KV6 last year. I used my mic to measure up the thickness of the spring and it was the same size as the original.

Your lucky it hasn't fired it's self into the tyre wall .
Check your top mount bearing aswell . If they are in poor condition this could be the cause of the broken spring .
If you examine the spring and if it has broken in the centre of the coil this normally means top bearing failure . Top and bottom spring snapping just British roads

Default Front Coil Springs

Thanks to all, contacted Rimmers and asked who made the springs and they could not confirm who made them, so have gone elsewhere and bought a pair of Sachs Springs and with discount have worked out at around the same price, but cheaper as they come with free delivery

Hi Stu,

I bought mine direct from X-Part. They're Suplex which I was assured are the genuine supplier. Ring Kara direct on 0116 296 7866. She's on her own at the moment so you may have to be persistent but you will get the real thing at a reasonable price (and with TNT next day delivery too).

Thanks Stu. I think our posts crossed! I hope the Sachs live up to your expectations.

Perhaps they knew but would rather not say? I really do not believe that they do not know who made them. Do you?
