Got very wet pulling the back disc off to confirm my suspension. The graunching noise was the brake retaining spring rolling round d because the retaining pin has pulled through the back plate.

Time to order some repair pins

Ps wasn't raining when I started.

After dropping off our cat Isabelle at her cat hotel yesterday we drove Connie fully laden up to the Boat of Garten for an overnight stay. Got back to the car this morning covered in 4 inches of snow and drove to Thurso then across to Durness for some photos of the beaches before driving down the west coast for another overnight stay in Ullapool. Currently sat in the Arch Inn having a couple of beers. Tomorrow we head down to Plockton ( The Wickerman was filmed there) before continuing to Staffin on the Isle of Skye for a 4 night stay. The car is taking it all in her stride as usual.

I know the Arch Inn. Loch Broom has the most amazing sunsets I know. Room 8 has the best views.

Doing the timing belts on my 190. I had the plenum bolted up and everything on top connected when I realised I had left off the vacuum line from the R/H (Rear) cam cover. After a few minutes of puzzling I became aware that there was no way to get it into it's fitting without pulling the plenum and associated wires and hoses off again. Rats. Fortunately it only set me back 15 minutes or so.

Default Weekend

Drover the Rover 200 miles to visit family and friends over the weekend. Drove faultlessly and did 35mpg with mixed driving, not too bad considering the low gearing (she's crying out for a 6th gear).
The rain proved I haven't quite solved the boot leaks yet.
Had a sneaky bid on a silver ZT on eBay but lost out by 17 quid!

Got the bucket and sponge out to give the ZT a proper good wash after her trip down to the South Coast the weekend before. Wasn't allowed to use the jet washer as I "take too long". Had to do a double wash as she was so covered in crud. End result? I "took too long"! Can't win...

If the weather hold off and I can keep her clean-ish over the next couple of weekends, then I may get round to bleeding the clutch like I've been threatening for the last month.
