Default Wrotham Steam Rally - 26th June 2022

Having posted last weekend that I assumed this to be off again this year, I have now received an email that it is in fact going ahead.

So, I have been going to this event for probably 30 years+, and can certainly recommend it, and will liaise with the organisers. We should get a designated area, provided numbers are high enough.

Wrotham is a mile or so from Brands Hatch, and some 8 - 10 minutes down the A.20, from Jct.3 of the M. 25.

Further details to follow, but please show any interest here on this forum.

Regards

Mike

Default meet

Hi Mike,

I would like to attend if I can, I just hope some other of our members will join in so we can do some events this year. I just hope IanGs comment today does not turn out to be true. The last 2 years have decimated social events and, as he so rightly comments today, without more people turning out for events this club is in danger of becoming an online forum only.

The most important thing of any club is to make opportunities for members to meet each other and discuss their interests.

I would like to thank you for your all your efforts to resurrect this section. I just hope we can get some others to join us.

As I've said a few times, we have a small nucleus of members who want to socialise in the South East, and it should grow. New members joining are still plentiful, and that's were they will most likely come from.

I have found IanG's comment that you refer to; post 164189, in the chill out zone (sticky, not a forum)
Do you know who the green team are that he mentions?

Regards

Mike

I have a feeling that “Green Team” refers to the Clubs management / moderators

Put me down as an maybe, its likily that i will attend, but it depends on what else may be on at the same time,
As regards club management/ moderators ,In every club there will be personal clashes, its human nature, just don't let it get in the way of enjoying your get togethers,

Thanks Martin, provided that we get at least 3 or 4, then I'll book us in. I shall be there, in any case.

As far as the green team are concerned, may I clarify that I simply enquired as to who they might be. Both Steve and Jennifer have given me the same answer, and I have no thoughts either way, as to anything beyond being just curious.

Knowing who they are, or not, certainly does not impinge on our get togethers.

Mike

Who among us is planning on going? I have decided to go but it would be nice if we could go in convoy if any others are going.

So we now have 3, as Jennifer and Martin are now confirmed.

Probably 4, if Jan will bring our (her?) Tourer.

I'll book a reserved spot in the display area, this week.

Regards

Mike
