Default Bonnet release

I have been refitting the driver's side sun roof drain pipe (successfully) but now the bonnet release cable has gone slack. I must have disturbed it when removing the interior trim containing the bonnet release lever. the cable is still attached at the lever end but too slack to release the bonnet.

The bonnet is still open fortunately, so before I shut it could someone please point me to where I should look to tighten the cable?

many thanks
Baz

Check the cable hasn't popped out of the metal frame at the interior handle. There is a small white plastic collar that pushes into its position at the end of the metal frame on teh handle.

Also, check the cable junction box that is under the bonnet, its a small black plastic box that sits on the O/S wing next to the power steering fluid reservoir (cable may have popped out).

thanks Dallas, you were spot-on. The cable had jumped out of the release handle bracket. I had to remove the bracket (just two hex screws ) to pop it back in properly.

Thanks for saving the day, or as my son said to the student loan people; thank you so much , I will never be able to repay you !

When I've worked out how to attach photos ? I'll attach them in-case anyone else has the same problem.
