Default Clutch problems

Hi all,

So - am in need of a new clutch.... not a hydraulic/slave problem !!!! actually just a worn out clutch.

Local garage has suggested £1,200. Ouch!

Any thoughts on recommended places near Skegness (or mobile) that can do the job for a reasonable price please?

Thanks in advance.

Did that £400.00 include the slave cylinder ??

If the OP has his clutch renewed he should, sensibly, have the slave cylinder changed at the same time.

In my case, yes, clutch on this car was replaced in 2013 with a new slave at the time. They advised that the DMF was borderline, but I decided not to do it then, just the clutch kit and slave. Cost me £400. Was in Birmingham at the time otherwise I would take it back there.

Happy with it having lasted nearly 7 years. Car has been used well in that time!

So any recommendations on people in the Skegness area that could do it? Is Andy Willi still about?
