Welcome back Stu and Steve W

hopefully you are both going to stick around. Anthony & Maricel, he is in touch with me now and again on messenger

Yesterday pm the government here decreed lockdown for Nairobi with a ring of steel around the city. No one allowed in or out of the city from 7pm last night and everyone is to wear a mask if out in public during the day.

People breaking the regulations or not listening and doing their own thing, will be subjected to fines or floggings from the police. I spoke to some locals today about it and they said the beatings is the only medicine that Kenyans understand. At night it’s fear which rules the curfew. 8 weeks ago, I bought the masks for the family and staff, so we have plenty.

We had to go out this morning and buy a new chest freezer which fortunately fitted in the back of the 4x4. At home, I have placed a bucket of soap and water with disinfectant outside our front door for us to use. As soon as we got indoors, we changed our clothes for clean ones and put the old ones straight into the washing machine on a 60C wash. At 57.8C, the virus starts to break down, the masks were washed and dried. What next?......chill out

That’s all for now

Evening all, what a glorious day it's been here 17C & sunny all day.

I'm making the most of this good weather with lots more gardening & potting on jobs. Sadly though I've seen more groups of people out & about not social distancing than ever today.

Cool

I came in from working on the side and front gardens. Could not believe the amount of people walking about. Bloomin’ daft. Just because the sun was out.

I posted on several threads about this on here and fb. There is only one way these selfish boogers are going to take notice, hit their pockets and HARD. Fine them £1000 each to be paid within 3 months, put a charge on their properties. If they go out again other than for permitted reasons, double the fine.

Good morning all and welcome to the day

Yesterday it reached 29C, hot and humid with it. We are in the rains and everything in the garden and forest is nice and green. This morning I will clean the pool checking for frog spawn as I don’t want the frogs using the pool as they attract the snakes

Morning all, looking like another fine day on the cards.

Morning Phil, The wildlife there certainly keeps you on your toes.

Good morning Ian, what’s cooking today, what are you going to tantalise our tastebuds with?

I don’t really want to go out again and run the gauntlet of the police/army road blocks, but I forgot to buy a surge protector for the deep freezer I bought yesterday. I was hoping to stay inside our small holding, but we do need petrol for the lawnmower and cheap oil for the snake defences.

When you go out Ian, do you get stopped by the police?
