Even though I could prove my ID and had the documents for the car with me, the DVLA staff would not play ball, they refused to discuss the car, they said its because of the data regulations. I protested, then I was threatened with being escorted from the building. It was a most unpleasant experience.

Morning Phil, Yeah it's been trying to say the least, The licence renewal will have to wait until the Covid-19 is over with It seems like I'll get a headache with just about every place I deal with these days, HMRC is another, I had a tax refund due but couldn't get it sorted out online because apparently I don't have a credit score I've never had a credit card or loan just debit card, I had a mortgage years ago & that's paid off but that didn't seem to count I don't owe anybody owt. I had to wait 90 days for the refund instead of 14 days.

The same goes for other things like they want to send you confirmation codes via a smart phone, I have one......somewhere! It gets switched on once every blue moon. I got it in 2015 with 15Quid PAYG on it, still got £12 on it lol.

I think I would be in the same boat as yourself Ian. I don’t have a credit card or a mortgage, I get by using a debit card and PayPal. All the property we have, we own and I am happy driving old bangers. Last year we had a bill from Inland Revenue in South Africa for £50,000 and that was a shock. I got a lawyer involved and he managed to get it legally reduced to a few hundred pounds using legislation. Remember my visit to the UK in February? I had a scan done privately at Northwick Park Hospital. Since then, I have been trying to pay for the scan. I was emailed last week and told I won’t be able to pay what I owe them, as the private part of the hospital called “Trustplus” is closed because of the virus, but as soon as they open, they will call me. I hate owing money to anyone.

Afternoon all, It's been dark & threatening rain all day here.

One of those ping meals out of the reduced section at Tesco for tea tonight, Chinese meal for one : Sweet & sour chicken,Chinese style chicken curry (might regret that)
Egg fried rice & Soy vegetable noodles.

Evening all.

Been playing with my new flash head wireless triggering system today.

Due to lockdown the choice of model for testing my studio lighting was how shall I say........Dodgy at best

Hi key lighting...

I was going to say the high-key works best.
On the low key image there's lovely rim lighting down the left (as viewed) but with a bit of heavy shadow running down over the eye.
However:

If it's good enough for Karsh, who am I to complain!
