'tis a canny day up here - warmer temperatures have returned, although it was pretty 'fresh' overnight. Now got mainly bright sunshine, blue skies and a few whispy clouds.
Spent most of the morning planning our future shopping needs, via Morrisons home delivery service. Managed to get a delivery slot (earliest available) for Sunday 21st May between 12.00 noon and 1.00pm.
The result is that the missus has gone back to impulse shopping again - instead of simply writing down what we need, she was "oh - I'll have 1/2/3 of them" whilst I was scrolling through the on-line pages. Result - £56 of shopping - and even then we forgot the milk - so that'll top the £60 mark

The driving licence renewal saga continues! I thought as it's a nice day I'll have a walk to the post office to see if they're open & take my renewal form down there to get sorted. Queued up for half an hour to reach the counter only to be told that 'digital application's' for passports & driving licences are suspended due to Covid-19 restrictions

I cant do it online & neither at the post office now. The only other option is to get a passport photo taken & a renewal form (They didn't even have any of those forms in stock ) and send it off to DVLA in an envelope, She said I hope you're not in a hurry for it as there will be HUGE backlogs

I noticed my on-line "click and collect" shopping bill was way above my normal one, then realised it was the extra alcohol I was buying instead of going to my Club!

Over the past seven weeks, we've seen a substantial drop in the weekly food bill - simply because SWMBO has had no opportunity to walk down a supermarket aisle, picking up anything which takes her fancy. Now, thanks to all the pretty pictures of grub etc. on the Morrison's on-line shopping site - we're back to square one. I haven't even ordered any alcohol, as it seems an opportune time to "dispose of" some of the bottles of wine and spirits that have built up over the years in the wine cabinet.
Like you, I haven't been in my club since 18th March - and don't expect to be there anytime soon. As part of the management committee, we are all keeping in touch to try and do whatever we can to ensure that there will still be a club to go to when we're 'released'.

Cool

Good evening everyone.

Had a cracking day. Defrosted the freezer, done some washing and pegged it out. Been into town to collect my repeat prescription. Took the Bear for a blast, just to clear the cob webs from the mirrors.
Made a curry, which was bloomin’ delicious, and washed it down with some apple juice, the alcoholic type.
Got the washing in, and watered the garden.

Morning Debz, morning all.
Bright sunshine here, looks set 'fair' for the day.

Will be taking a trip up to the boat one day next week.
Norfolk to be warned in advance for any inclement weather changes

As the new rules only allow for day trips and no overnight stays you should only have to endure one day of dodgy weather

Cool

Good morning everyone from sunny Saltash.
No frost but a tad chilly.

Shopping today up to Lee Mill on the dark side. Be the first time I’ve been out of Cornwall since the lockdown started, and the Brucie bonus is there no toll working.
