It's a worry. Good employers will work with employees and their representatives to ensure safety for all. Unscrupulous employers won't care and will do what profits the most.

Fingers crossed that common sense prevails

June 1st is too late to ask people to quarantine coming into the country. Why not immediately, even if all the resources aren’t quite fully sorted.

Or 2 months ago would have been better.

I'd dearly like to know why that didn't happen.Things may have looked very different today with regards to the numbers infected and high death toll.

From the start, due to most of our shifts being single man operation, we have covered it on the day, or covered by phone overnight unless asked to go in, so no change.

I’ve not stopped working we have been observing social distance since it all kicked off as well as wearing of ppe. Limited numbers in work only 95 out of 360 iirc.

Back for me tomorrow but that's my choice not Boris's orders. Was going back before the announcement tonight.

England is now out of sync with Scotland and Wales. This seems to me to be a big risk, both on the health front and politically. The R number is bound to go up, how further outbreak hotspots are dealt with will dictate how successful we will be. Why the border issue isn’t dealt with at the same time, I don’t know. It’s a big risk, it will be a body blow to everyone if a further lockdown is necessary.

Will the police now allow access to the Lake District? Can motorcyclists go over Hartside?
