Default Remapping a 130 Auto

Can anyone recommend someone to remap my 2004 130 auto to 160. Just want to make it a bit more 'pokey' I have a Jag X-Type auto at 148bhp and the difference is like night and day. If it coule be anything like the Jag then I would be chuffed.

Is there a downside to remapping an auto i.e. will it chew up the auto box?

I'm in Nantwich Cheshire

Hi Chris.
Follow Andy's advice and take that trip to see Russ, you will not regret it, at the same time you can have a full health check on your car with the T4.

It will transform your Auto & you will gain a few MPG

Thirded!
Will make driving more effortless and the power is there if you need it. It won’t make it rapid so to say but gives it the extra it should of had when it left the factory.

Just make sure that the car is spot on before you get it done , intercooler O rings , MAFs ok , EGR valve clean , you won't feel the advantage unless these are all good .

OK, not done the 'O' rings on this one yet, I'll order some. Not a big job.
The EGR has been removed and fitted with a dummy.
It has a K&N air filter.
The thermostat has been replaced so its running at the correct temp (coolant replaced at the same time).
The inlet manifold had an 'in situ' clean, so not perfect but not too gunged-up.
The MAP sensor was removed and cleaned at the same time.
Really don't know the condition of the MAF. At present it's unplugged.

I was planning on taking a trip to see 'Big Russ' so I could get the car checked out on his T4, perhaps this would tell me if the MAF was good or not before spending £££ on a new one?
