That certainly sounds like it (as I said, I haven't seen the underside and am relying on my garage's explanation).

Are those parts available separately (the rubber mountings) or do you have to buy the whole cross member?

I shall have to try and get under the car and have a look!

BTW, I applied to join the 260 forums, but haven't heard yet. Does anyone know how long it takes?

PM your e-mail address and I'll send you the approved 75 V8 exhaust drawing.
Hope this will help get things sorted!

Be able to get the rubbers seperately. I'll see if I have the part number.

I've sent you the details for joining old fruit.

Sorry Welshtony had a look on my data no part number but can tell you that the system is made up of five sections on a system of 8/2/1/2/4. On the rave disc it is Manifolds & Exhaust systems page 30-6 to 8 if the garage wants to know.

Hmm, still got problems.

The pic in post 10 is of the area immediately before the silencer. The problem area I have is after the silencer, before the split to the twin exhausts. It is a cross member that doesn't appear on the drawings you've kindly sent me.

I'll try to get a pic of the underside of my car, shgowing the problem area, when i take it back to have the air filter changed (which still hasn't been supplied to the garage!)

OMG, you should be ashamed of yourself Tim, posting filthy pictures like that on a public forum.
