Yes Tom, they are very similair except they only start to "beep" when you are within 3 feet away from an object, where as the original "beep" all the time..

I've been looking at this exact thing recently. I'm wondering if the display could be mounted in the rear where the high-level brakelight is rather than running round to the front. If you're reversing you're normally looking behind anyway and could see it in the mirror if not.

the one i purchased does not come with the display unit...just the buzzer...like the factory fitted ones
