After 6 and a half years my 2002 CDT saloon is back on the road. Took a bit of recommissioning but nothing too bad. Hopefully will do its first POL at the weekend!

With today's great weather it was time to do something about the broken rear parking sensor. I replaced all 4 sensors with after market BMW ones as they are 7 times cheaper than the genuine Rover ones and they are near identical (to those of the E46 for example).

No wonder the broken one stopped working, it's cracked halfway through:

The other 3 BMW sensors:

All sensors looked more or less like this, hence the decision to replace them all:

Both the car and the sensors are black so no need for paint:

Found a crack in the wall of the spare wheel tyre so I had a new one put on.

Embarrassing, but only just found out you could adjust the interval of the intermittent wipers.

Daily driven the car since Oct 2021 and forever been a bit annoyed the intermittent wipe was over-eager, hard to believe but I never paid attention to the markings on the end of the stalk.

Never had a car with this adjustment before; had cars with non-adjustable intermittent and had cars with auto-sensing wipers, but never an adjustable intermittent.

Every day is a school day.

Tom, Don't feel foolish. It took me 4 years to realise the driver's seat could be adjusted vertically! That made things a bit more comfortable.

Hi, finally replaced my bonnet due to the penetrating rust from the seam underneath.Managed to remove the one off a scrap car on my own but was surprised how heavy it was.Collared two fellas at the yard who helped me change the bonnets over, worth the tenner I gave them for the help. Also got rid of the rusted bonnet.Came home and finished connecting the washer jets and the wiring which I had to cut previously.Regards Ry.......

It was only when I had two identical cars and my head almost touched the roof in one and was miles away in the other that I realised they must adjust :-)

Took the Rover in today for oil & filter change, new wiper blades and front disks & pads, asked for check over before MOT. Needs one front drop link. Ordered a pair from DMGRS get it done before MOT.
