Default Royal Mail

With all that’s going on at the moment how long are people waiting for Royal Mail deliveries? I have 2 item on eBay with deliver dates of 1st and 4th May. How long should I leave it before I request the money back as it’s not delivered?

That would be a bit hash on the seller. If they have posted the items on time you and they are at the mercy of royal Mail. Have you tracking numbers?
I'd say give it another week then report as not arrived perhaps lost

It's been taking 2 week minimum where I live for Royal Mail. I am still waiting on one ordered 2nd May, for instance. I hate Hermes, but this time they appear to be faster. 2 Hermes deliveries and took 3 days each - which is what it took for them before lockdown.

I live next door to 2 Royal Mail employees. One a night trunker the other a day trunker. They tell me they have never been as busy. Worse than Christmas. Have patience. Everything takes longer at the moment.

To be honest I'm not going to complain about 1 of them as the seller has been replying to messages and really nice the other hasn't been reply at all. I will give it abit longer and see what happens. I know they are busy.

I think service is patchy at present. I posted 3 letters out in the same post - one went 60 miles and was delivered in 2 days (although 1st class), the second went 100 miles and took 3 days. The third, only travelling 9 miles took a fortnight!

International post is also slow, ordered some alloy conrods for my 500 Triumph engine I'm building, ordered from California 29th March advised 14th to 28th April delivery. Finally arrived yesterday 11th May. Not bothered though as the engine is down mum's garage at the moment, she's 89 so can't go down for a few more weeks yet.

Just been speaking to neighbours asking if they've received any mail lately because we've not had any post for over a week now.
There is a lot of stuff (envelope size packages) that I ordered in March/early April and still no sign of them

I’ve just checked one that had a tracking number and it says 48 hour courier with a tracking number of VE1WN7C no name of the company and you click track package and it just seems to disappear on the 25th April and nothing after that. The listing says Royal Mail 2nd but this obviously isn’t Royal Mail 🤬 this is the one that should be delivered on the 1st May.
