I was only thinking earlier today that we have probably seen that screened on a TV channel for the last time. Previously it was shown at least twice yearly. It is my favourite funny film of all time and I laugh just as much now as the first time I watched it. Luckily, like you,I have my own copy I'll always remember my brother telling me he watched it at the cinema when first released and sat in front of him was a black guy who laughed louder than anyone. More beans Mr Taggart...

The decision to " leave well alone", and continue with Rule Britannia, and Land of Hope and Glory will upset all those snowflake, lefties, and general protest at anything brigade.

The BBC would do well to remember they are the BRITISH Broadcasting Corporation, and get back to what they were, a service, and not a vehicle for those who want to put their political bias above everything else.

I suspect the BBC will rationalise the reversal as responding positively to the views of their licence holders and go on to proclaim their even-handedness. Possibly.
Just kicking the can twelve months down the road.

In effect it probably still does when it operates within the NATO framework for which it is now largely equipped to do.
