Just add this site to the exclusions list. It's not uncommon for Avast to block legitimate sites, especially once it's detected a problem.

Pete has now sorted the issue with the website, but Avast may still continue to treat this site as unsafe.

He hasn't Wes, Pete's action only fixed his own profile and there are others contributing to the issue. It is also being caused by some Avatars and an untold number of links and images in posts right across the site. Many of them are no longer working links with more than a few broken by the Photobucket fiasco but the text still remains within the links to wreak havoc after the change from HTTP to HTTPS. It could be that a certain amount of false positives are allowed by the software which seeks them out and that it takes X amount to trigger the problem. If so it might be worth trying to get the numbers down, maybe flag up the problem to all members and request that they check their profiles for HTTP and to change to HTTPS where the problem is found.

See post no 2, I changed permissions over to trust this site in the firewall settings of my antivirus. But it’s for Mac OS and it’s in McAfee not Avast.

The URL below solved it for me with AVG.

It now lets me in but does still flash up the occasional warning.

I entered it in the exclusions part of the AVG anti-virus.---

PS. Thanks to all the guys that helped me.---

I can't find exclusions but found exceptions, in AVG.
Entered as above, but still comes up as blacklisted.

That's odd as you can see by my post it's working for me.

Hi all,

I see I'm not the only one with issues getting on here!
AVG has this site on their blacklist. I'm getting the same error messages as everyone else.
I've added the site to AVG on my computer, but I'm still getting the message pop up 3 times in quick succession every time I go to the next page on something.

I actually thought the site was down as I couldn't access it from my works computer or my home one! I've only recently paid my subscriptions too!

Glad to see the site is still up and running.
I'm off to delete my avatar to see if this helps the situation.

Hope everyone is well !

Richard

Not quite everyone else, some of us happily browse with total ignorance of malware, AVG, or anti-virus stuff on our MacBooks, although I did notice Gatekeeper mention antivirus but he’s a recent convert.

Have fun

It's all witchcraft to me!

Changing my pic to the on site MG badge hasn't worked, so I've put it back as it was.

I've been on 5 mins and sick of the AVG message already.

I'll perhaps try back in a week.
