Well done Ingerland Ingerland Ingerland.
Got the job done in an impressive way over the Old enemy.About time too after the heartache they have caused us at previous tournaments. Some big performances tonight, particularly Pickford by making some vital saves.Bring on the quarters on Saturday

I did not think England were that good. Germany were poor and yes Pickford did a great job.
Match was not that good. macafee2 |

It wasn't a classic Ian but the only things that really mattered tonight was the result and to lay some ghosts to rest.
So it's Ukrain next which is which is winnable if we play to our strengths.

If we do get past Ukraine the semi's and final are at Wembley. Big incentive and advantage to our chances of going all the way. Long long way to go yet though before we can get exited about that.We have form for coming down to earth with a bump when the chips are down.Lets just enjoy tonight for now it's been a long time coming

Great to get a win, it's just a shame that teams don't play tackling football now, seeming to prefer the elbow and pretence of fouls. That attitude is supported by commentators. We have some great players but not a great team.

I don't think we have "great" players but one's that either play well on the day or are do a consistent job but not exhilarating or with flair. Kalvin Phillips is in this category. Ukraine are a side which is more skillful on the ball, but are always likely to concede a goal or two! Kev |

I liked the Sweden Ukraine match. My god the Ukrainian player was damn lucky not to have had his leg snapped in two but seeing the tackle, can only assume the Swedish player was sent off due to studs and not the location of where he made contact. Not sure I explained that very well, if the Swedish player had hit the Ukrainian with his shin I don't think he would have been sent off.
I don't think it will be am easy match, 50/50 on chances? macafee2 |
