Default Heated rear screens Saloon and Tourer

At what temperature do the rear screens automatically come on?
Is it about 5 degrees?

My Tourer rear screen seems to always come on lately.

Mine tends to come on at around 9 degrees.

I find it's one of those annoying things that MGR put in - I spend more time turning it off than using it to clear ice off the rear screen. Surely it would be better if it was going to be automatic then it would come on nearer freezing, same with heated mirrors and washer jets which are not needed for probably 99% of the time.

Well, I find it useful coming on automatically. My new BMW doesn't do it and I miss it in the Rover. Another excuse to use the Rover every day still :-)

With a clear rear screen, I do not find it useful.

Rear screen comes on at 10 deg or under. Useful if going a long drive, stops the rear window steaming up. Turn it off if only going on short journey because it will flatten your battery in no time if you don’t. Very heavy draw on the battery.

7 and 10 degrees will explain why it seems to always be coming on lately even when the screen is clear

thank you

Easily disabled with Toaf, one of the first things I always do when I get another addition to the collection, along with all doors open one click.

Regards

I like just the drivers door unlocking on one click, I see it as a security aid. No one is going to open any other door when I'm stationary and alone.

If Toaf can disable the rear screens coming on automatically, can T4?
