I'm still "All Systems Go" for next Sunday and up for the manifold/EGR swap if possible, I'll also order a new intercooler pipe as it would seem to make sense to replace that at the same time.

The reversing sensors seem to be behaving themselves now, so maybe that's just a corroded connector issue? If there's time to look at that then that's fine but I also understand that there may be more pressing issues with other cars to resolve.

Just like to say a big thank you to Les and Scott for the help doing the drivers door side lock change (Don’t mention dog bones). After many false starts, thanks to some who will remain anonymous (Bonnet opener) the fitting was achieved. Thanks for not giving up lads. An otherwise great day, and plenty of laughs amongst good company. And by the way................"..................it still works.

Thanks for the photos of where the dog bone goes, into the extension from the door handle. Just wish me luck when I ‘av a go joe on the 2.5. Will let you know how I get on with it. It won’t be this week because we have to get the dog a bone. Oh no. . Thanks for the gloves by the way. I did not take any because I thought they were yours. Cheers Steve.
