When I was on the driving course the instructor took you on everything, including the Edinburgh-Glasgow push pulls, with the 47 on one end. The first time I took one into Queen Street I brought the train to a gentle, perfect stop about 10-12 feet from the buffers. The instructor patted me on the shoulder “you brought that in like an expert “. He didn’t see the sweat trickling down my brow

Good morning all, morning Steve

Thank you, we have got that covered including a number of weapons we keep in the bedroom. To secure our bedroom there are 2 doors: a steel door, a fire door and on both sides of the bed are emergency remotes and if pressed, a siren on the roof sounds, the security/police attend immediately.

When that happens it’s all mayhem, in the past we have had shoot outs between the police and the baddies.

I think what has triggered this off is from next door. Builders have just started building a new house and they employ people from the side of the road who could be anyone including those from the criminal fraternity, the latter - Scum!

We met with the builder and asked him to employ people he trusts and knows and not the cheap labour from the side of the road.

We live and hope

I hope you get through the bad weather okay and think about the better days ahead even though Georgie isn’t around.

Take care

Does the camera come with the power supply ?
If not, you'll need a 12 volt DC power supply rated 2 amps or more as well.
Over the spec the amperage again if possible.
Good morning Jeff and thank you

The camera arrived and it came with a twin core cable, a power supply and a 3 pin plug. I have written down the requirements you suggested and passed it onto an electrical who will supply and do the work as I am not allowed up ladders these days.

This morning the welder and his mate are coming back at 08:30 to carry on making the shutters for the windows. Later on, the shutters will go to their workshop in the village for smoothing, painting and for the fitting of some nice handles. On Monday they will be back to complete the installation.

We are + 3 hours GMT and the weather today 26C and sunny.

How are you and what are your plans today?

Morning Phil, morning all.

As I'm sure Steve and Mike will tell you............It's raining here in Norfolk

Been raining most of the night although the wind has settled down a lot from what it was.

My friend Ian is launching a boat from the slipway at the marina this morning so I shall give him a hand with that.

Most of the day I'll be sitting onboard Lady Emma editing yesterdays photo shoots . Will probably go to the Bridge for dinner tonight and may venture into the village for a spot of breakfast/lunch, not sure yet though.

If the weather is any better tomorrow I may take Lady Emma out for a cruise

Good morning to you all,my prediction was correct yesterday

Its lashing it down here and it has been all night, with wind howling also.

It must now be made official, that Jeff indeed is a Rain God,sent to dampen our fair county when he visits

Have a nice week end everyone albeit a damp one

Morning all, Another miserable rainy day here too. Cleaned the cat litter trays out & put the new cat litter in as can't get the pink stuff any more & they're looking at that & looking up at me as to say what's this stuff!! Bacon butty time me thinks.
Beautiful old Apache truck Jeff I sold a friend of mine a Chevy Camaro back axle I had in the garage years ago, He imported an old 1953 Chevy Stepside straight 6 truck & wanted to change out the engine for a V8 & change the original back axle so he could go more than 50 mph They're very industrial & not meant for high/motorway speeds.
The last time I saw him he'd changed out the V8 & installed a Toyota diesel engine in it

Morning, just. Yesterdays report that I was on the mend might have been a bit optimistic. Had to go out, food for the girls, milk and collect a parcel the postie made a half hearted attempt to deliver yesterday. Just back, feeling cr@p, knackered, thumping head again.

Current postie is useless. If you don’t appear at the door immediately he’s back in his van and off. The postie we used to have if there was no answer at the front he’d nip round to the kitchen door, 9 times out of 10 we’re in, just haven’t heard the door bell.

We had a dachshund when I was young. He always had a drink of milk after dinner. Short of milk one day so I made up some Marvel, powdered milk and gave him that. Looked at it, sniffed it, looked at me “if you think I’m going to drink that….!” and walked away in disgust

Cool

Good afternoon everyone.

There is a strange yellow orb in the sky, and it’s sending out warm waves of brightness.
