2004 Rover 75 1.8T Contemporary SE (Facelift) *SOLD*
**UPDATE 05/06/15** To be sold as "Spares or Repairs" - I am open to any offers over the value of a chicken as it will be on the driveway from this evening! PM for sensible offers.
Location: - PE8 (Near Peterborough) Car Model: - Rover 75 1.8T Contemporary SE (Facelift) Reg/Date: - 54 Plate / Off Assembly Date 27/04/2004 Mileage: - 74,000 (10,000 covered in my 6 months of ownership) Colour: - X-Power Grey (Code: LEF) Interior: - Beautiful black ash dash with black leather trim and seats (Trim Code PDQ / Sports PPH Black) - Aftermarket head-unit powering the usual Harman Kardon set-up. I’m not amazed by the quality of these, but some like them. - Heated and electronic (movement) front seats both work fine. - Electric side mirrors work fine. - Auto-dimming rear view mirror works fine. - Electric windows all round work fine. - The IPK screen has a line or two down it when illuminated. - No major issues with the interior as it looks, feels and sounds pretty well made. I feel I’m quite a noise freak and there are no niggling squeaks or rattles that irritate me. Exterior: - X-Power Grey bodywork (metalwork) is in ok condition. Some minor scuffs and dinks picked up with motorway travel. - Bumpers front and back are quite badly scuffed from a previous owner and the towing-eye plug hole is missing from front bumper. - Rear parking sensors work perfect and are a life saver. - Wheels are the chunky 17” Contemporary 5 spokes. Again previous owner painted them black but they were not professionally finished so age, tyre replacement etc mean that they are not perfect and could do with either a touch up or a full recondition. (Saying that; it does look damn good as a contrast!) - Tasteful aftermarket twin tailpipe. Engine/Running: - I have commuted 400-500 miles per week so have regularly kept oil and Radiator/Antifreeze topped up. I also went down to Cornwall last week and it was a dream! - I had an issue twice (very recently) of breaking down for no apparent reason. Occasion 1) Lead to spending £200+ for a diagnostic which was less than useless and didn’t resolve or answer anything and now seems the airbag light has come on... Occasion 2) picked up by a helpful AA guy who figured out that the fuel gauge (and subsequently the IPK “Range”) was off by about 100 miles or ¼ tank. I have since never allowed the fuel to go below ½ way, just to be safe. - I have found a few times too that if I put my foot down I get a bit of a choked response at certain points on the rev-range. A misfire maybe? Never been a huge issue as I’m not heavy footed and it only happens with full throttle. - Clutch is now playing up!!!! Extra Information: - Tax Due 01/07/2015 (does that count now?) £23.19 a month via Direct Debit. - MOT due 09/10/2015 - Owner Manual and booklet with some history available. Summary: Generally, this has been a damn good car up to now. It will suit if you want Spares (excellent interior) or if you a smart and very comfortable car to get you from A-B (following some time, effort and money getting back to perfect condition) Last edited by Brommers; 5th June 2015 at 10:04.. |

Way too good to send to the scrappy but I will be accommodating in the knowledge that it could take a few quid to get up to standard. |
