As there is an import restriction for all cars over the age of 7 years old coming into KE, it is not that common to find any on the roads. In South Africa, I know of 3 V8's Member Kaiser has one of them. The 1.8 is popular in the western cape, where I have seen it branded as the Rover 75 Sedan and MG ZT. Kaiser would be able to tell you better than I can about the specs for the South African market

My apologies for my late reply. When I find out, I will let you know, finding out will be difficult, as the licensing of all cars in Kenya was discontinued a few years ago and this was replaced by cars new and old, having to display an insurance disc on the windscreen, renewable every 12 months. Not to do this, means no insurance - a serious offence punished by heavy fines, even prison.

How many were sold in your part of the world?

Ok, bit of a different system, that doesn't require licensing...? No idea how many cars sold into Australia and NZ, but am sure can find out with the power of the WWW...!!! No where near the numbers sold in UK/Europe of course, which is clearly evident by the fact you almost never see them here and then the still relatively high prices of them here.....but, it makes for owning an exclusive car, which so happens to be a completely awesome car...!

Have you managed to link up with any of the members living in Australia? I was going through my photo collection and have various photos of the family Range Rover and Land Rovers out in the bush. They lead a hard life it seems, so everyone shares the ones which work and are fuelled up and if they break the parts either get shipped out or someone has to bring them out in their luggage. lol I suppose it is the same in Oz?
